On the small Japanese island of Shodoshima, pioneering farmers have perfected something extraordinary: Olive Wagyu. This exceptionally rare beef comes from Kuroge Washu cattle raised on a diet that includes pressed olive peels from the island's 2,000-year-old olive oil industry.

The innovative farming approach on Shodoshima combines traditional Japanese Wagyu breeding expertise with sustainable practices, creating beef with unparalleled marbling, a distinctive golden hue, and a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The careful production methods and limited herd size (only about 2,000 cattle yearly) result in beef prized for its rich umami flavor and exceptional oleic acid content.

We discovered passionate farmers raising exceptional meats. Becky Harlow, our first partner, raised grass-fed cattle on lush pastures, producing beef of incredible quality. Without knowing Becky, you’d never access her meat. Joe and Ethan, our cofounders, crowdfunded a cow with help from friends and family, sharing Becky’s story and beef with them.

That first cow sparked a movement. Crowd Cow grew into a community of farmers and customers, connected by quality and the story behind every cut.
